Clary Double Conversion
UPS Systems Produce Clean,
Perfect Sine Waves
Why does this matter?
Microprocessor based equipment
like that used in Traffic, ITS, Toll Systems, Security and Water Treatment PLC
applications are designed for an input of 120VAC.
Dirty Sine waves happen every day in the form of Power Pollution, also known as
spikes, surges, noise, brownouts, dirty power, etc. These pollutants wear and
tear at electronic components of critical equipment. They can cause inaccurate
operation, lead to hardware failures and undermine public safety.
The way to prevent dirty sine waves or power pollution effecting your equipment
is to clean up the input power. A Clary Continuous Power Supply fully software
defined (FSD the next
generation of UPS's) actually regenerates the input power to create a perfect,
clean, digital controlled precision sine wave, unlike Offline or Ferro UPS's.
Most UPS's, commonly referred to as BBS (battery back-up systems) are only designed to protect during blackouts, and some of the more
advanced models have limited brownout protection. Because Offline, Ferrous, or
Line Interactive UPS do not actually regenerate the input power to create a
clean output Sine wave, the cleanliness of their output sine wave varies
depending on the quality of the input power.
Clary
Continual Power Systems, in addition to providing a regenerated digital
controlled rock solid 120VAC, prevents the polluting of the input power for
other users without power protection through active power factor correction.
Active power
factor correction cleans the input power so the harmonic currents and distortion
caused by today's high-tech loads do not effect other equipment using the same
power. Power Factor correction cleans the current by reducing the high peak
input currents preventing voltage sags, overheated wiring, and even reduces
utility bills. By correcting the input current, the Clary Continuous Power Supply goes
beyond protecting their load, to also help other equipment that uses the same
input power, unlike most UPS/BBS systems.
